humour is THE true blessing in life, the universe and everything.

My phone rang at 7:30 this morning.

That is never good is it?

A good friend told me her dad died last night.

It was his birthday.

I like the symmetry in that.

I went to visit her tonight.

In between the tears we laughed.

Join me in raising a glass of this

or this

to the dearly remembered.

  1. Awww, sorry to hear about your friend's father. I like the symmetry of his dying on his birthday too - somehow makes him seem 'special'.

    Take care. x

  2. Sorry to hear about your friend's Dad but so poignant that he died on his birthday. Laughter is such a gift at times like this and I know she will appreciate your love and support.

  4. Sorry to hear the news. I too like the symmetry. My grandfather opened and closed* his parish church, and it was comforting to know.
