Kind of halfway, me.

Just back from the inaugural knitting club session and it seemed to go well. Except for the woman in the corner who was the 'go to' girl for all knitting knowledge. Except she wasn't. Didn't ask about anyone else's anything and there were a few people there who had no idea and could have done with a little support.

I walked back in the front door tonight and it occurred to me it was just like being a teenager - I wasn't sufficiently 'hippie' to hang out with the hippies nor was I sufficiently 'cool' to hang out with the cool girls. Don't mind, it's just how tonight was.

Plus this woman was using Noro. I hate Noro.

  5. We ALL hate Noro - especially when the cool-hippie-master-knitters are using it! And, sadly, there is at least ONE in every knitters group.

NOTE: I find a nice Shiraz very helpful - as you may have already concluded from the color of my baby sweater!

  6. Bet you wanted to unravel her knitting when she wasn't looking - or drop a couple of stitches for her!

  7. I will admit I don't knit (want to learn) but I can so identify with your post. I've been in this situation a few times over the years. Always brings me back to the awkward days of high school. Could be why I'd rather play with kids than adults most of the time:)
