Number One
This gorgeous vase/pot handpainted by my extremely talented friend who is about to take the ceramic world by storm (so I keep telling her). It stands about six inches tall with a three inch circumference at the top.
I was tempted to keep it.
Number Two
I wasn't tempted to keep this one. This prize needs knowledge and experience of whips and chairs. Just don't tell Princess Curly-Wurly if you win this one.
But she is cute.
Number Three.
The old linen teatowel this originally was represents a lot of what I love about craft. Beautiful colours, exquisite stitching, the texture of aged (well worn) linen. Women making their daily worlds a bit more beautiful. It encapsulates much of what I took from Jane Brocket's book. I would call it Utilitarian Art but that term has been taken already.
I have repurposed it into a smallish sized shopper and hope that comfycosy will still be talking to me after seeing this picture. The original piece came from a prize I won over on her blog a few months ago. A shopping bag seems a better life than lurking in my beautiful things cupboard to be petted and adored.
Wonderful prizes!! But I believe the 2nd one wil be a bit hard to ship in a bubbly envelope.
ReplyDeleteI would like to win no. 2 please... my whip and chair are ready.
ReplyDeleteWould love to win number 2 but as Stine says, bit hard for you to ship her in a bubbly envelope all the way to the UK!!
ReplyDeleteKind of hoping your kidding??? poor beautiful girl!!
Would love to be in the draw for the other two tho!
Cheers

great prizes, and who wouldn't be thrilled to have an excuse to break out the whip...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful prizes Trashy! I'd be happy to win any one of them, but the one I really want is that puppy! I cringe at the thought of a long plane ride for her though! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHow could you bear to part with that gorgeous assistant of yours? Or is it an autographed photo you're parting with? I'd love the bag, how lovely for a spot of shopping and a cuppa with the girls! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh wow. That tea towel shopper is gorgeous, and I would be thrilled to win!
ReplyDeleteThe tea towel tote is soooo cute.
ReplyDeleteI'd especially love number two. Oh, how I long for a dog! But the other two are great consolations as well. :)

ReplyDeletemmm, number 2 looks tempting, don't know how she'd go in the post to Australia, so I'd have to go with number 3. Can't resist anything vintagey!! have you entered my giveaway yet?

ReplyDeleteNo you wouldn't ship that adorable assistant of yours. See, she even made your day from your previous post :-) I bet it made you smile looking at her trying to get that ball L0L
ReplyDeleteFor the pot and bag, I would be happy to have :-)You must really be battling with yourself with regards to that vase. To post . . . not to post . . . :-) But you're blessed to have your talented friend near you who'll probably make what you desire .
The teacup bag is lovely. I like the simplicity and the embroidery done.

I love the vase and the bag. Great idea with the linen towel. I had to convince my daughters that the lovely doggie was not for them.
ReplyDeletei would love to win #3... what a sweet bag!
ReplyDeleteThe vase and bag would make great gifts!! I would love either.
ReplyDeletefharr@umd.edu
I find number 2 a bit daunting and I don't think she would make the journey overseas well. I would LOVE number 3!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win #2, BUT...
ReplyDelete#1 and #3 will be just OK
I'd love to win, but #2 might not survive the shipping. :)
ReplyDeleteI love # 1 and #3 but think #2 would have a less than friendly welcome from the furry critters around here.
ReplyDeleteI love repurposed things. I've been trying to convert a lot of my old wardrobe into something more useful (or utilitarian as you say) ;)
ReplyDeleteI'll take them all... Just don't tell my husband LOL :) Okay you keep the dog!!
ReplyDeletePlease enter me in the draw, and don't forget to enter mine. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to win!

ReplyDeleteMy boys tell me to choose #2... but not mommy! I love dogs, but I've got 4 puppies (read: male kids) already, and the work they give me... unbelievable!
ReplyDeleteLove #1 and #3 though :)
I'll swap you #2 for a tantrum-throwing three year old.... ALthough the easiest thing to post is surely #3. I love old linen.
ReplyDeleteOoh I'd love to win number 3 Trash if that's OK - so lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe could swap number 2 for a nine year old lurcher who thinks she's six months old. She does not like carton animals x
