It depends on the job and whether we're talking smart open toed shoes or scruffy lived in sandals. I can't say I ever took much notice of people's shoes when I was interviewing them, though I think I'd be unimpressed by trainers. Still, those days are gone.
If I were going to an interview I think I'd play it safe though!
hmmmmm. For any job requiring shoes (as opposed to workboots), I think I wouldn't wear open-toes, simply because I simply wouldn't want an interviewer or potential employer to notice my feet at all.
I have to agree really... no bare tootsies for a job interview. Having said that..... it is summer and I know you could carry it off with confidence and aplomb - and of course with elegance ;-)
Oh, it'll be fine! I'd be very worried if I went to a job interview and they inspected my feet...unless it was for a job as a foot model. Love your Winchester pics- especially the ones of cake :-) That Mrs.Moog looks like mischief...

It depends on the toe cleavage.
ReplyDeleteAnd the job.
Go all out and wear thongs.
ReplyDeleteI dare you...
(Some people call them 'flip flops'. I'm not talking about her underwear, people!)
Pedicure first please!

ReplyDeleteI know it's hypothetical, but, uh, good luck!
what a hpothetically interesting discussion.
ReplyDeleteHmmm depends on whether you have ugly feet right?
ReplyDeleteProbably.... Wait until you've got the job to show your toes!
ReplyDeletemmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm interesting..........I think no cleavage til you have the job!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a variable.... depends on the job, the shoes and the feet?? Does that help - hypothetically?

i dont think there is anything wrong with smart sandals, its summer after all!!

I was astonished to observe that flip flops have become office attire. Open toed shoes sound quite dressed up in comparison. :>}
ReplyDeleteDepends on the colour of the nail varnish. Not unprofessional at all.
ReplyDeleteI'd go toe naked ... probably make sure I'd got rid of the dried, craked bits first that I get in the summer due to gardening barefoot ...
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd wear a pretty varnish ~ no blingy diamonds on the toes though :) x
I like those peek-a-boo shoes. For job interview, probably a closed one. But I guess it depends on what type of a job. :-)

ReplyDeleteMmmm... that would most probably depend on the feet and the job in question....
ReplyDelete...hypothetically speaking should I be wishing you good luck?
xxx

not necessarily. if they are sensible grown-up open-toed shoes...or the job is at the beach... :)
ReplyDelete(ps: this answers my emerald toe ring question!)
