  10. I'm with Gina here - I love hanging washing out when it's freezing cold. Watching the steam shoot up from it when you first peg it out then seeing it turn solid. Handknit socks are the best - you can hold them horizontally. And as as stoopid as it may sound, it does actually freeze dry a bit!

  11. First I looked in shock at the size of the back yard - what on earth does anyone do with that little tiny bit of land?? Ohh wait - hang out washing..vbg. Perhaps they thought that when the clothes came inside they wouldn't have to iron them. You have made my day.

    My Mum always used to hang the washing out on cold and frosty days. I tend not to!
