In approximately eight hours my baby boy starts secondary school. He is entering the world of different classrooms for different lessons, science with fire and chemicals, breaking voices, breaking hearts and a really fired up P.E. Department.
Not every child in the world gets this opportunity and this got me thinking.
Education = Knowledge = Power = Freedom.
I salute all those able to stand up for that freedom.

ReplyDeleteMy big girl starts secondary school on Thursday. She's an odd mixture of calm and excited, and I feel very much as I did when she was about to start primary!
It was very weird today because both my children walked off down the drive wearing secondary school uniforms. *sigh* I think my parenting job is done.
