We got presents! (part the first)

Miss Nutt left a comment a few posts back about loving Flakes and their lack of availability in the States. Naturally I offered to send her some. She asked whether there was something I would like in return. Having a slight love of Jolly Ranchers I wondered whether she would send me a packet.

This is what turned up yesterday. Nearly four & half pounds of bob! Real life American bob.

My children were beside themselves!

Having sorted them into groups they then started to play with them.

Reese's cups.

Jolly Ranchers and Laffy Taffy

Then my disgusting boy lay still while someone did this to his face. (whistles tunelessly while looking at the sky)

The bird thing is one he came up with all by himself

My assistant is delighted that the package also held something for her.

But she sure wasn't planning on sharing!

  6. Good trade - great loot! Those photos brought back some great memories. I was brought up in NZ; my gran in Scotland used to send us four kids a huge box of sweets every Xmas and Mum would dole them out to us during the year. Think treacle toffee, macaroon bars, Smarties (which you couldn't get in NZ then) all sorts of yummy, sugary, bad-for-you-but-delicious stuff.

  8. Is there a better job in the world than sorting lollies into piles, knowing that you'll get to eat them? I don't think so. Kid heaven.

  9. As an American, I have one question for you...you do have a good dental plan, yes? I've nearly broken a tooth or two on those JRs. Let me know when your stash runs low. xo
