I wish I had the strength to say more ...

... my plan was to write a post about my girl turning eleven today but after 18 hours with half a dozen proto-teenage girls in the house and a cumulative sleep total of about five hours between the eight of us (d/Boy was on a boys' sleepover off the hill) ontop of nearly two days of clearing up in the kitchen while the bazillion cakes baked I am k-nackered.

  4. Go. Sleep the sleep of the righteous and then come back to tell us all about it.

  8. If it's any consolation we had a sleepover on Saturday too. Each of the beasties had one friend over - two of the quietest and loveliest children ever. All was quiet all evening and the last one went to sleep at 10.30pm. Next thing I knew it was 7am on Sunday .....yup, I know just how you feel ;)

  9. I've heard rumours that actually, the real teenage years are actually not so bad and that these years - 10, 11, 12 (mine are 10 & 12) are worse...
